BTOG 2021 | The significance of PD-L1 expression in NSCLC

Angeles Montero, MD, PhD, Royal Brompton Hospital, London, UK, summarizes the findings of a retrospective study which investigated the correlation of PD-L1 with the prognosis of patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). PD-L1 status was assessed by immunohistochemistry using clones 28-8, 22C3, SP263 and SP142. Overexpression of the PD-L1 clone SP142 was associated with poor overall survival in patients with non-small cell lung cancer, and clones 22C3 and SP263 were associated with poor prognosis in patients with large cell carcinoma. This interview took place during the 19th British Thoracic Oncology Group (BTOG) Annual Conference 2021.
