WCLC 2024 | SQUAT: neoadjuvant chemo-immuno-radiation and surgery in NSCLC

Gerry Hanna, MBBCh, PhD, MRCP, FRCR, FRANZCR, Trinity College Dublin, Dublin, Ireland, discusses findings from the Phase II SQUAT trial (WJOG 12119L) of neoadjuvant chemo-immuno-radiation therapy followed by surgical resection and adjuvant immunotherapy in resectable stage III-N2 non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The addition of radiation therapy showed promising long-term outcomes, but further research is needed to further define resectability in lung cancer. This interview took place at the 2024 World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) in San Diego, CA.
