WCLC 2024 | Exploring genetic risk factors for lung cancer in the INHERIT study

Courtney Granville, PhD, GO2 for Lung Cancer, Washington, DC, provides an overview of the INHERIT study (NCT05587439), which investigates genetic contributors to lung cancer, particularly in those with inherited susceptibility. The study establishes a repository of clinical and biologic data from individuals with familial lung cancer risk, focusing on germline variants such as EGFR, HER2, TP53, and others. Participants provide blood samples for whole-genome sequencing and complete a survey assessing environmental and social determinants of lung cancer. This interview took place at the 2024 World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) in San Diego, CA.
