BCC 2025 | Unmet needs in younger patients with breast cancer

Cynthia Villarreal-Garza, MD, DSc, TecSalud, Monterrey, Mexico, discusses the unmet needs of younger patients with breast cancer, including treatment-induced menopause, sexual dysfunction, bone health issues, and psychological concerns. To address these needs, a multidisciplinary team approach, patient monitoring, and access to web-based interventions, educational resources, and peer support groups are all needed. This interview took place at the 2025 St. Gallen International Breast Cancer Consensus Meeting in Vienna, Austria.
