ELCC 2025 | Novel developments in treating IO-induced toxicities in lung cancer

Michel Obeid, MD, PhD, Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois, Lausanne, Switzerland, discusses the value of deep immune profiling in identifying biomarkers for major immunotherapy (IO)-induced toxicities such as myocarditis, cytokine release syndrome, and arthritis. Anti-IL-6 therapy can reduce mortality related to these life-threatening conditions, where IL-6 is a common biomarker across these conditions, and targeting it with therapy has shown promising results in reducing mortality and severity. This interview took place at the European Lung Cancer Congress (ELCC) 2025 in Paris, France.
