AACR 2025 | The future of Nous-209 vaccination in preventing Lynch syndrome

Jason Willis, MD, PhD, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, describes on the potential of Nous-209 vaccination in reducing the burden of adenomas, a precursor to colon cancer. A larger, randomized study is needed to confirm the hypothesis that simulating an immune response against frameshift peptides leads to a decrease in adenoma burden. This study aims to compare Nous-209 vaccination to no intervention or standard care with aspirin or naproxen, with the goal of determining whether vaccination leads to a reduction in adenoma burden over time. This interview took place at American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting 2025 in Chicago, IL.
