AACR 2025 | Comparing Nous-209 and NSAIDs in Lynch syndrome prophylaxis

Jason Willis, MD, PhD, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, comments on the comparison between Nous-209 and current standard-of-care approaches for Lynch syndrome carriers in terms of risk reduction. Whilst trials such as the CAPP2 study (ISRCTN59521990) supports the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as aspirin and naproxen for chemoprevention in Lynch syndrome, the study assessing Nous-209 is a single-armed study and does not currently have sufficient data to compare with aspirin or other NSAIDs. This interview took place at American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting 2025 in Chicago, IL.
