ASCO 2026 | daNIS-3: NIS793 plus anti-PD-1 with SOC in second-line MSS CRC

Filippo Pietrantonio, MD, Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori, Milan, Italy, discusses efficacy and safety results from the Phase II daNIS-3 trial (NCT04952753) of NIS793, an anti-TGFβ monoclonal antibody, with tislelizumab and standard of care (SOC) as second-line treatment in patients with microsatellite stable (MSS) colorectal cancer (CRC). The study was terminated early due to an unfavorable benefit-risk profile, with NIS793-containing arms demonstrating a detrimental progression-free survival outcome compared with standard of care. This interview took place during the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
