ESMO 2024 | MARIPOSA-2: second interim OS of amivantamab and chemotherapy in EGFR-m NSCLC

Sanjay Popat, MBBS, FRCP, PhD, The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, London, UK, discusses second interim overall survival findings from the Phase III MARIPOSA-2 trial (NCT04487080) of amivantamab with chemotherapy (carboplatin/pemetrexed) in patients with EGFR-mutant, advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) following progression on osimertinib. At the second interim analysis, overall survival (OS) improved, but did not meet the significance threshold. Amivantamab with chemotherapy also significantly prolonged post-progression outcomes, including progression-free survival 2 (PFS2), time to treatment discontinuation, and time to subsequent therapy. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2024 Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
