ELCC 2026 | How pathologic response shapes post-operative decision-making in resectable NSCLC

Brendon Stiles, MD, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York, NY, comments on the significance of pathologic response in influencing post-operative recommendations for patients. Dr Stiles highlights that a complete pathologic response can lead to a more optimistic prognosis, with a 95% five-year overall survival rate, and may even argue against the need for adjuvant therapy, although the decision ultimately depends on the patient and their oncologist. This interview took place at the 2026 European Lung Cancer Congress in Copenhagen Denmark.
