BTOG 2025 | Emerging T-cell engagers in small cell lung cancer

Anna Minchom, MD, BCh, MB, MRCP, The Royal Marsden Hospital, London, UK, discusses emerging therapeutics in small cell lung cancer, particularly T-cell engagers (BiTes) like tarlatamab. This novel drug targets DLL3 and CD3, activating T-cells to attack cancer cells, with promising efficacy data. However, its clinical use presents challenges, particularly the management of cytokine release syndrome, which can lead to cardiac and respiratory instability requiring specialized care and extended inpatient monitoring. This interview took place at the BTOG 2025 congress in Belfast, UK.
