ESMO 2024 | Optimal sequencing strategies in molecularly-driven CRC

Dominik Modest, MD, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Berlin, Germany, gives an overview of treatment strategies for colorectal cancer with driver mutations. Immune checkpoint inhibitors are the standard of care for microsatellite instability (MSI) high colorectal cancer, whereas BRAF and EGFR inhibitors are used for BRAF-mutant colorectal cancer in the first and second line settings respectively. In Europe, off-label therapies are recommended for HER2-mutated colorectal cancer. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2024 Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
