ICCN 2022 | A multicomponent survivorship program for men with prostate cancer

Patsy Yates, AM, PhD, RN, FACN, FAAN, Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia, describes a multicomponent telehealth survivorship program conducted in Australia in men with prostate cancer. In this study, a comprehensive evaluation of survivorship needs in men with prostate cancer was performed, followed by the development of tailored support plans around exercise and nutrition management, mental health and psychological well-being, sexual heath and sexual recovery, and other specialized clinical support. Overall, it was found that the individualized care plans were well received and participants reported improvements in their experience of care. This interview took place at the virtual 2022 International Conference on Cancer Nursing (ICCN).
