WCLC Sept 2021 | The definition of cure in lung cancer

David Baldwin, MD, FRCP, Nottingham University Hospitals, Nottingham, UK, describes a recently published Review article focused on the definition of cure in the context of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). There are a number of definitions of cure that are applied by clinicians, patients and the public that have different meanings and significance, such as statistical cure, personal cure and psychological cure. Prof. Baldwin highlights the importance of clinicians understanding the various concepts of cure when communicating with their patients. This interview took place at the World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) 2021.
