WCLC 2024 | JAK1 inhibition enhances pembrolizumab efficacy in PD-L1 positive mNSCLC

Melina Marmarelis, MD, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA, discusses a Phase II trial (NCT03425006) of pembrolizumab and short-term itacitinib, a JAK1 inhibitor, in treatment-naïve patients with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (mNSCLC) with PD-L1 ≥50%. The study showed significant improvement in progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) compared to historical data. This interview took place at the 2024 World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) in San Diego, CA.
