Javier Martin-Broto, MD, PhD, Fundación Jimenez Diaz University Hospital, Madrid, Spain, discusses challenges in developing immunotherapy for sarcoma, emphasizing the importance of controlling heterogeneity in clinical trials. Chemo-immunotherapy combinations show promising activity in UPS and leiomyosarcoma, with encouraging response rates but require histology-specific testing across different sarcoma subtypes. A seven-gene predictive signature was developed to better identify patients likely to benefit from immunotherapy treatment. This interview took place during the 2025 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
