ESMO 2024 | Emerging role of ADCs in EGFR-mutated non-small cell lung cancer

Benjamin Besse, MD, PhD, Gustave Roussy, Villejuif, France, discusses the growing interest in antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) for patients with EGFR-mutated non-small cell lung (NSCLC). Although studies specifically targeting this population are limited, early signals from TROP-2 ADCs and HER3-targeted ADCs show promise. Investigating whether the efficacy of these ADCs in EGFR-mutated NSCLC is due to their specific targets or the payload they carry, particularly the use of TOP1 inhibitors, may be effective against EGFR mutations. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2024 Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
